Apollo 17 (3 Days On The Moon) is HERE!

Apollo 17 (3 Days on the Moon) is finally here.

This is my 3rd space exploration ‘concept’ album… this time, the final Apollo Moon mission from 1972. Rehearsals for the accompanying show are well under way and (although I’m biased) I think it’s looking and sounding great.

I have people to thank for bringing this album to life:

Joel Taylor for some deep and dedicated mixing. Dave Gordon and Michael Te Young for providing some amazing beats. Darlene Te Young for singing like a bird (one of those gentle ones, not those evil bossy little green ones). Joe Carra for being the master of mastering. Elliott Brown took care of the artwork, photography and provided valuable technical and visual advice with the show.  Thanks to Jay Love for looking after the live sound. Cherie Brown put up with the relentless recording sessions at BSHQ. I also want to thank the people at NASA for making the original radio transmissions available for use, they capture some magical moments.

I’ve also had some wonderful support from people in radio, too many to name, but here’s a few who have contributed to the sojourn… Crispi Winsor, Neil Rogers,  Christian Kuhlmann, Johnny Topper, Paul Trapani, Claire Stuchbury, Nyx Fullmoon…. The airwaves wouldn’t be the same without you!!

I always think the last thing I ever do; is the best thing I’ve ever done… time will tell on this one. I would say that this project is the best ‘sounding’ thing I’ve been involved with… there is some pretty-cool sonic stuff going on… and an awful lot of it hidden behind the main elements…. You might need to listen closely.

And finally, thank you to all who paid attention, came to gigs and followed the journey so far… it’s a whole lotta fun and I hope to see you at one of the upcoming shows.

Keep an eye out for this on Friday… Physical CD’s for the Old Schoolers and Digital Downloads for those modern types.
